Made to order in Osaka. At your door in 3–4 weeks.

Before expression, there is preparation. Before movement, there is stillness.

SAMUE is derived from the working garment worn by Zen practitioners and craftsmen — individuals devoted to repetition, refinement, and presence through daily action. The form removes distraction and returns the body to calm function.

Its structure is quiet, balanced, and uninterrupted. Nothing pulls attention outward. The garment exists to support inward alignment — to allow the wearer to move, work, and exist without excess.

Repurposed for modern life, SAMUE becomes a uniform for mental clarity. Not performance. Not display. Practice.

Stillness is not the absence of movement. It is control within it.

Material

Heavyweight Japanese denim — matte, non-synthetic finish. Available in navy and black.

Construction

  • Wrap-front closure for natural pressure balance
  • Relaxed shoulder geometry for unrestricted movement
  • Straight fall structure for visual quietness
  • Internal pocket

Sensory profile

  • Weight: medium–heavy
  • Surface: matte
  • Sound: silent movement
  • Thermal: warm–neutral

Functional effect

Encourages calm posture, reduced tension, and a stable breathing rhythm.

Fit

The body moves freely. The mind settles.

Sizing is based on height and structure rather than standard categories — height for overall length balance, chest for wrap and volume, shoulder width for alignment, sleeve length for natural movement. If between sizes, choose based on how you prefer the garment to sit in space.

  • Balanced (M) — Height 96 cm · Chest 68 cm · Shoulder 69 cm · Sleeve 40 cm
  • Extended (L) — Height 105.5 cm · Chest 70 cm · Shoulder 71 cm · Sleeve 42 cm

Care

These garments are made from natural materials and are designed to evolve with use. Care should be taken with the same awareness as wearing.

Washing — cold water (30°C / 86°F or below), gentle cycle or hand wash, mild detergent only, wash with similar colours.

Drying — do not tumble dry; hang in a well-ventilated, shaded space; let the garment return to form naturally.

Ironing — low heat if needed; steam preferred to restore natural drape.

Storage — cool, dry space; hang or fold with care; avoid prolonged compression.
